South Africa women to play three T20Is in Pakistan ahead of World Cup

Lahore, 28 August 2024: Pakistan and South Africa ladies' cricket crews will plan for the following month's ICC Ladies' T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE by contending in a three-match series at the Multan Cricket Arena.


The South Africa group will show up in Multan on 13 September, with matches booked for 16, 18, and 20 September. To guarantee each of the three matches are communicated in real time and give openness to ladies' cricket, the matches on 16 and 18 September will begin at 7pm, while the match on 20 September will start at 10am.


After the series, South Africa will withdraw for the UAE on 21 September, while Pakistan will leave on 23 September. Pakistan is in Gathering An of the ICC Ladies' T20 World Cup 2024, alongside Australia, India, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, while South Africa is assembled with Bangladesh, Britain, Scotland and the West Indies.


Following warm-up matches against Scotland and Bangladesh on 28 and 30 September, separately, Pakistan will confront Sri Lanka on 3 October in Sharjah, trailed by matches against India on 6 October in Dubai, Australia on 11 October in Dubai and New Zealand on 14 October in Dubai.


In the mean time, the PCB has affirmed that the crew declared for the ICC Ladies' T20 World Cup 2024 will highlight in the three-match series against South Africa.


The crew is: Fatima Sana (skipper), Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wicket-attendant), Nashra Sundhu, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal (dependent upon wellness), Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab and Tuba Hassan.


Najiha Alvi (wicket-guardian, voyaging save), Rameen Shamim and Umm-e-Hani (both non-voyaging holds) will be important for the pre-series instructional course and series in Multan. Notwithstanding, just Najiha will go to the UAE with the crew.


To get ready for the home series and the following month's ICC Ladies' T20 World Cup, the Pakistan ladies' instructional course will begin at the Multan Cricket Arena on Sunday, 1 September.
